Vehicle scan tool (if required for pairing on certain Toyota models)
Installation Steps
1. Preparation
-
Park your vehicle on a flat surface and engage the parking brake.
-
Turn off the ignition and disconnect the negative battery terminal.
-
Confirm all kit components are included (4 sensors, receiver/display unit, wiring harness if applicable).
2. Install Internal Sensors
-
Deflate the tyre and carefully dismount it from the rim using a tyre machine.
-
Remove the original valve stem.
-
Install the new TPMS sensor/valve assembly in its place, ensuring the seal sits properly.
-
Tighten the sensor nut to the manufacturer’s torque specification.
-
Remount and inflate the tyre to the correct Toyota-recommended pressure.
-
Repeat the process for all four tyres.
3. Connect & Pair System
-
Install the receiver/display unit inside the vehicle according to the kit’s instructions (usually on the dashboard or integrated with the OEM display).
-
Connect the receiver to the vehicle’s CAN Bus or OBD-II interface if required.
-
Power on the system and check that each sensor is detected.
-
If pairing is required, follow the included pairing procedure for each wheel.
4. Final Checks
-
Reconnect the negative battery terminal.
-
Start the vehicle and confirm the TPMS system displays:
-
Individual tyre pressures
-
Individual tyre temperatures
-
-
Test-drive the vehicle to confirm stable readings.
-
Ensure no warning lights are active on the dashboard.
Care & Maintenance
-
Check TPMS readings regularly before long trips.
-
Keep tyres inflated to manufacturer specifications for optimal performance.
-
Replace sensor batteries when low (battery life varies by usage).
-
Have sensors inspected whenever tyres are replaced or rotated.
